My home is an ongoing design laboratory: a compact open-plan apartment where industrial infrastructure, vivid color, collected objects, and living plants are allowed to remain in conversation.

Every intervention was tested through daily life. I designed, built, installed, and refined the space one element at a time, allowing use and observation to guide the next decision.

A lived design language

Exposed cable trays and track lighting meet soft textiles, custom furniture, Tatreez, art, and objects collected over time. The result is deliberately personal: functional, bright, playful, and always open to change.

Al-Mathany
Gallery

Al-Mathany occupies a 125-year-old industrial mill on Salame 25. The ongoing transformation works with the inherited concrete, proportions, and traces of use instead of erasing them.

Each phase adds only what the cultural program needs: clearer circulation, controlled lighting, flexible display systems, and technical upgrades that allow art and performance to take focus.

Preserve / Clarify / Activate

The architecture remains deliberately unfinished. New elements are precise and reversible, preserving the space's history while preparing it for exhibitions, talks, screenings, and live work.

Inara
Tatreez Lamp

Inara translates traditional Tatreez embroidery from stitched textile into a contemporary lighting object. Laser-cut aluminum, a digitally modeled structure, and warm LED light create a piece that is both functional and culturally specific.

Ben's Place
Vauxhall

A compact London apartment redesigned around the client's habits, art, color, and daylight. The project began remotely with a full 3D model, then developed through sourcing and time spent living in the apartment itself.

The result is warm and individual rather than over-styled: existing pieces, saturated color, and carefully chosen furniture are held together by a clear spatial plan.

Two stages.
Two worlds.

These productions use architecture at performance scale. Modular boxes become changing homes in Boyout; a giant illustrated book becomes both structure and storyteller in The Decent Giant.

01 / Boyout (Homes)

Fragments of home,
rearranged live.

Illuminated boxes shift throughout the performance, moving between furniture, architecture, and symbols of memory. Their modular logic lets the actors continually rebuild the stage picture.

02 / The Decent Giant

A storybook,
built at stage scale.

A freestanding book opens into the performance, translating illustration into architecture. The lightweight frame, hinged pages, and custom graphics were designed for safe repeated use.

The approach

My work connects human behavior, cultural memory, and technical performance - whether the outcome is a lamp, a home, a gallery, or a stage.
